Rosters and Player Misconduct

Please take note of the following letter we received from Genesee Fieldhouse regarding rosters and player misconduct:

Now that every team has played at least 3 games we want to make sure that all rosters are complete and everyone has signed the Roster/Waiver form. At your next game you need to make sure that everyone has signed the roster, as we will no longer allow additional players to be added. Starting the week of July 20th we will be checking i.d.’s against the roster form. Anyone who presents an i.d., but is not on the roster/waiver form will not be allowed to participate. Every team manager has asked us to do this procedure to ensure the integrity of the league, and we want to follow that rule. Please make sure that everyone is signed prior to your game beginning.

Also, there was an incident on Wednesday involving players throwing punches. These players will be suspended for numerous games, and will also be on a short leash for any future issues. These types of altercations will not be tolerated. From this point forward anyone in an al tercation will be suspended for the rest of the season and playoffs (per League Rule #5), and may cause the whole team to be removed from the schedule. This may seem unfair to punish the whole team for one person’s actions, however, we want to make sure that all teams can leave in the same condition as they arrived, and the only way to police such actions is to have the teams held responsible. We do not want to have to resort to this type of ruling, so please pass this information along to your players, and make them accountable for their actions.
