FSSC Wins Despite Sub-Par Effort

El Toro must have thought all they had to do was show up Sunday and they would walk away with an easy victory. Unfortunately, the game against The Fire was not that easy. The Bulls had to battle back from a 3-1 second half deficit to beat The Fire 4-3.

The Bulls started slow and played a very lackadaisical first half. Still, the game was tied a 1-1 at halftime. The second half was a bit better but after a few miscue's the Bulls saw themselves facing a two goal deficit and any thoughts of a league championship were almost out of the question. Faced with what would be a devastating lost, EL Toro began a furious comeback with 10 minutes left in the game when Paul Vance and Mike "Twin Two" Farrar scored goals within 2 minutes of each other. With the game now even, the Bulls pushed for the victory. After a few close calls, Tom "Crybaby" Beaubien tapped in the game winning goal off an assist from Mike Vance with only 4 minutes left to play. The defense held on to preserve the win and the Bulls escaped with a hard fought 4-3 victory.

Yes, yes, very subpar display of soccer by the Bulls this weekend. Tom Saxton stated bluntly,"Pressure the opposite team with our forward & two outside mids & it's over!"

I will say we stepped it up the last 10 minutes to squeak out a win. Good stuff from Paul, Mikey, & Tommy by taking advantage of our opportunities late w/ the game on the line.

We need a little help from our friends @ Cash Now! They must beat Badger Juice in fixture 7, setting up a winner take all final week on March 1 @ 8pm! We just have to hold up our end of the bargain w/ a win over Mid-Mich Auto! We have a two weeks to get it 2gether for MMA, step it up! I encourage every1 to come to central next wednesday so we can a couple of touches b4 our game, 8pm.
