Game 7

El Toro fought off a valiant effort by Mid-Michigan Auto Parts to stay undefeated in league play. Mid Michigan was unable to field a full squad and used several replacement players which meant El Toro was deemed the winner by forfeit prior to the start of the game. However, that did not stop Mid Michigan from playing hard. After out hustling and out working the Bulls for much of the first half, Mid Michigan got on the score sheet first when a miss-hit cross sailed over the head of keeper Geoff Gale. The first half would end with El Toro down 1-0.

Playing with a bit more passion in the second half, the Bull's class began to show. However, a lack of finishing proved fatal until the 60th minute when El Toro leading goal scorer CoCo Sauce Villarreal connected on a header off a corner kick from Mikey "Twin 2" Farrar. El Toro clearly had momentum on its side but had trouble breaking through the Mid Michigan bunkered in defense. Yet, with continuous pressure El Toro caught a break in the 72nd minute when a Mid Michigan foul lead to a penalty shot. Paul Vance played a penetrating ball to Mike Vance who was then taken down in the box and awarded a PK. Designated penalty kick specialist Andy Zinn buried the PK into the right side of the net. The Bulls eventually held on to win the game unofficially 2-1.

It's spiraling down @ the wrong time! We have the bulk of our schedule coming up w/ our hardest games & we cannot put it in the net! Playing a make-shift team we lost our composure. Just b-cuz we rarely lose, when we are down we tend to FLIP OUT! Only takes 2 seconds of brilliance to score a goal & we start shooting from 35 yards out! We'll see what happens in the next week!
